ASiS International Essay Writing Competition 2022
Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) in Terengganu, Malaysia (unisza.edu.my) is proud to be co-organiser, together with Alam Shah Science School (Kuala Lumpur), in the 12th running of the annual ASiS International Essay Writing Competition 2022.
There are two categories for the competition, Junior (ages 12-15) and Senior (ages 16-18). There is no entry fee and details of the cash prizes can be found on the website and on the e-flyer attached to this email.
The topics for this year’s essay are aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) with a focus on SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 13 Climate Action, and SDG 14 Life Below Water, to name but a few. The essay topics focus on marine heritage, specifically, a global perspective on conserving sea turtles.
We hope you will share information on this contest through the school network in your region of operation. The closing date for submissions is August 31, 2022. Essays are to be uploaded online and will be assessed by our international team of professional judges. Winners will be announced on the competition website on 4 November, 2022.
To date, almost 7,000 students from 43 countries have participated in this annual event which aims to expose school students to the concept of conservation leading to placing greater value on our natural resources globally. This competition also provides a platform for youth to express their views in English. As a result, UniSZA aims to promote environmental conservation and language expression among youth internationally.
